Azerbaijani, Turkish, Iranian and Georgian FMs to sign roadmap at Baku meeting

A roadmap will be signed at the first quadrilateral meeting of the Azerbaijani, Turkish, Iranian and Georgian foreign ministers in Baku on March 15, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu told reporters in Baku, AzVision.az reports.

 

Cavusoglu said that the quadrilateral format is the indicator of the Azerbaijan's and Turkey's role in this region: "We have worked on the roadmap for the first meeting. The roadmap envisages the transport, energy, economy, trade and customs issues, regional cooperation political and economic issues. This is a future related roadmap. Four countries will take joint steps in these areas in future".

The Minister noted that Iran wants to join the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway route: "We have targets on energy cooperation. The "Roadmap" reflects issues that concern Azerbaijan, Turkey, Iran and Georgia. The four Foreign Ministry officials have worked on the Roadmap, and we will evaluate it and sign the final agreement."
