 Police detain father of Armenian serviceman, voluntarily surrendered to Azerbaijan
Police detained Ararat Grigoryan - father of Andranik Grigoryan, Armenian serviceman who voluntarily surrendered to Azerbaijan.

Ararat Grigoryan was summoned to the police office in Martuni, AzVision.az reports citing to Armenia’s epress.am website,

Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan told journalist that the reason of Grigoryan’s crossing to Azerbaijan should be determined with his family.

Armenian media is disseminating no information on the reason of his detention and fate.

Serviceman of the Armenian armed forces, Andranik Araratovich Grigoryan, born inKhojavand district in 1991, left the military unit and voluntarily surrendered to the Azerbaijani side on March 22 at about 13:50. “I do not want to be the next victim of their dirty games. The horrific conditions in Nagorno-Karabakh, indiscipline in military units, lack of ammunition, shortage of food and medicine, conflict between the local Armenians and Armenian Armenians, officers’ bad attitude towards the soldiers and ensigns, disorder have worn me out. There are a lot of people tired of living in such conditions and wanting to cross to Azerbaijan like me,” he
