Palestinian FM urges UN to investigate Israeli attacks

The Non-Aligned Movement plays fundamental role in preserving peace and security in the world, said Palestinian Foreign Minister Riad Malki.

He made the remarks addressing the Mid-Term Ministerial Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), titled “Promoting international peace and security for sustainable development”, in Baku April 5, AzVision.az reports.

The Palestinian foreign minister hailed NAM’s support for the protection of human rights throughout the world. Malki stressed that the NAM member states should unite against challenges and increase their potential to achieve the application of the principles of international law.

Palestine’s top diplomat went on to say that Israel is doing everything possible to continue its colonial occupation, and the U.S. support Israel in this issue.

Touching upon Israel’s attack on peaceful Palestinian protesters in the Gaza Strip last week, Riad Malki noted that the UN Security Council fails to reach to such incidents.

The foreign minister urged the UN to investigate Israel’s attacks on Palestinians.
