Police Determine Odessa Explosion Was an Act of Terror
Police have said that the overnight explosion in the southern Ukrainian city of Odessa may be the work of terrorists.
The overnight blast in the city of Odessa in southern Ukraine may have been staged by terrorists, local police were quoted as saying on Sunday.

There were reportedly no casualties when an explosion tore through the building of a public organization located in Odessa`s Primorsky region in the early hours of Sunday morning. The organization provides support to troops involved in the military operation in the Donbas region of eastern Ukraine.

The blast power was equivalent to 600 grams of TNT, according to law enforcers, who said that the explosion damaged the building`s non-residential premises and the windows of the nearby houses.

The explosion was the latest in a series of blasts that have occurred in Odessa in the past few months. All these incidents were qualified as acts of terror by law enforcement agencies.

On March 5, a powerful explosion ripped through an apartment building owned by the Ukrainian ultra-nationalist movement Right Sector; however, no one was hurt.

Odessa`s worst terror act of last year was the May 2, 2014 Trade Unions House Fire, in which dozens of anti-Kiev protesters were chased into the building before it was set alight.
