Secretary General Rashid Alimov congratulated President Aliyev on his victory in the presidential elections and wished him success in the presidential activity for the prosperity of the Azerbaijani people. Rashid Alimov also expressed his appreciation for the conditions provided to observe the presidential elections in Azerbaijan. He added that they observed the presidential elections in nearly 400 polling stations. Besides, Asimov has noted that the presidential election in Azerbaijan was held in a free, fair, democratic and transparent environment.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev expressed his satisfaction over the cooperation between Azerbaijan and SCO. President Ilham Aliyev touched on Azerbaijan’s interest in participating in SGO’s projects in order to strengthen relations. Ilham Aliyev has also noted that this institution’s successful bilateral relations with member states serve to the establishment of the common cooperation platform. Building cooperation with these countries is one of the key priorities of Azerbaijan’s Foreign Policy.
