SSC: budget revenues increased by 13.5-fold during past 15 years

‘Reforms conducted in the economy increased budget revenues and reduced budget deficit, which was high in early 1990’, chairman of theState Statistical Committee Tahir Budagov said in an interview with official internet page of the New Azerbaijan Party.

According to him, compared to 2003, the budget revenues increased by 13.5-fold to AZN 16.5 billion in 2017, expenditures - by 14.2-fold to AZN 17.5 billion.

‘Ratio of budget deficit to GDP made up 0.6%, state budget was fulfilled with surplus in 2004, 2006, 2011 and 2013. Compared to 2003 the expenditures for social protection and social security of the population increased by 11-fold In 2017, expenditures for economic development – by 18.2-fold’, Budagov said.
