Status quo in Nagorno-Karabakh conflict unacceptable
“France is concerned over the escalation of the tension on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border. We don’t spare efforts so that the situation does not worsen after the meeting of the presidents in Paris and the made efforts,” Ambassador of France to Armenia Jean-Francois Charpentier said in an interview with Armenpress.

He added that Francois Hollande demonstrates a greater involvement in the peace process of the conflict.

“We are certain that the negotiated solution and the global agreement, based on the three Madrid Principles, should continue being predictable. Status quo is unacceptable,” he said.

The diplomat said that the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs see the ways of resolving the problem only in the meetings with the conflict parties and other countries interested in the region.

“We continue or mediation mission along with Russia and the United States. However, key to the resolution of the conflict is in Yerevan and Baku as stated Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan at Euronest summit,” the ambassador underlined.
