Act of terror considered version of power failure in some Turkish cities
An act of terror can be considered as one of the versions of a power failure in about 30 cities of Turkey, Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu was quoted March 31 by the TRT Haber news channel as saying.
“The causes of the power outage in these cities are being established,” he said.

The electricity supply to Turkey’s major cities, such as Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir, was stopped at 10:36 (UTC/GMT +3 hours).

The subways in these cities also stopped working as a result of the power outage. The traffic lights also went out causing major traffic jams.

The work is underway to resume the electricity supply.
