We will achieve this goal under the leadership of the Supreme Commander.
The statement came from Defense Minister, colonel-general Zakir Hasanov in his speech over the anniversary of the genocide of Azerbaijanis.
The minister said he believes that Azerbaijani soldiers will soon be ready to fulfill any instruction of the Supreme Commander at any time and achieve new results in combat and military and psychological training.
According to Zakir Hasanov, March 31, 1918 is one of the bloodiest pages in the history of Azerbaijani people.
"This tragedy was accompanied with the occupation of our ancestral lands and was a carefully thought and purposeful policy of genocide that Armenians committed against Azerbaijanis.
It has been 17 years that March 31 was officially recognized as the day of Azerbaijanis` genocide.
I commemorate the victims of this genocide, our Turkish brothers who came to our help in the hardest times and fell victims in the fight for sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan with respect and honor. I am sure that you will not forget the memory of the blood which is an effective weapon and draw conclusions out of the lessons of history", the minister said.
