Israeli envoy visits Guba Genocide Memorial Complex

Israel’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Dan Stav and embassy employees visited the Guba district on April 25, the district executive authority told.

Ambassador Stav met with head of the Guba District Executive Authiority Ziyaddin Aliyev.

The ambassador expressed his satisfaction with the peaceful and harmonic co-existence Jewish and other communities in the district.

Later, the Israeli envoy went to Krasnaya Sloboda (Red Village) and met with representatives of the Jewish Community.

The ambassador also visited the Guba Genocide Memorial Complex and signed the complex’s guestbook.

Speaking to APA’s local bureau, the Israeli ambassador said that as part of his trip to Azerbaijan’s northern districts, he also visited Gusar and is scheduled to visit Khudat on April 26.

Ambassador Stav said that the main purpose of his visit is to contribute to the development of Israel-Azerbaijan ties, as well as relations in the areas of economy, education and information technologies.
