President of the United World Wrestling Nenad Lalovic congratulated the head of state on his victory in the presidential election. Nenad Lalovic hailed the excellent organization of the Formula 1 race in Baku. He described Azerbaijan as one of the world`s leading countries in wrestling.
Saying that Azerbaijan is hosting prestigious international sporting events, Nenad Lalovic said the world`s sporting community followed with great interest the excellently organized first European Games in 2015. Hailing the Azerbaijani wrestlers` achievements, Nenad Lalovic emphasized Azerbaijan`s ranking second in the freestyle wrestling world cup in the USA.
The head of state thanked Nenad Lalovic for his congratulations. President Ilham Aliyev said the development of sport in Azerbaijan is crucial to raising the healthy young generation and sporting prospects. The head of state hailed the fact that the Azerbaijani athletes make great strides in different sports, including wrestling.
Nenad Lalovic presented the United World Wrestling`s highest decoration, the Golden Order, to the head of state for his role in developing wrestling in different years.
