Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey to sign military cooperation agreement
Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov is on a visit to Georgia
Azerbaijan’s Defense Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov has today arrived in Georgia.

The Azerbaijani delegation headed by Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov first visited national leader Heydar Aliyev’s bust in Tbilisi and laid a wreath at the bust.

Zakir Hasanov said his visit to Georgia aims to review the prospects for bilateral cooperation.

“I met with the Georgian defense minister in Baku and Nakhchivan. We specified the priorities for trilateral military cooperation between Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey in Nakhchivan. During this visit, we will define ways to implement the planned activities. Tomorrow, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey will sign a trilateral agreement on military cooperation,” the Azerbaijani minister noted.

According to Hasanov, the issues of regional security will be discussed at tomorrow’s meeting.

“We will discuss Armenia’s posing threat to the regional peace and stability in neighboring countries, and exchange views on this issue,” he added.
