A monument to the Azerbaijani oil has been unveiled on the territory of Lenino-Snegirevskiy Military-Historical Museum in the Russian city of Istra on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of victory over fascism.
Called “Oil field”, the monument represents a copy of the Baku oil derrick.
Addressing the event, mayor of Istra Alexander Skvartsov, counsellor of Azerbaijan`s embassy in Russia Vugar Imamaliyev, head of the Azerbaijani national cultural center in Moscow Elshan Ibrahimov highlighted the crucial role of the Azerbaijani oil in gaining victory in the World War Two.
