“Our meetings open up new opportunities to strengthen our friendly ties,” the Georgian minister added.

Turkish Minister of National Defense Ismet Yildiz said the next trilateral meeting would take place in Turkey in autumn 2015.

Azerbaijani Defense Minister, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov also praised the trilateral meeting, noting that it is of great importance.

“Very important and useful issues were discussed at today’s meeting. We issued very important messages on the development of the armed forces. It was noted that this cooperation is very important in terms of policy, economy and security. We are planning to carry out a mutual educational exchange,” Hasanov underlined.

Hasanov said he informed the parties about the security challenges in the region.

“I recalled that Armenia continues its aggressive policy and territorial claims against all three states and destruction of our cultural and historical monuments. We must pay attention to these important issues,” the Azerbaijani minister noted.
