Armenia's deputy police chief steps down

Armenia’s Deputy Police Chief, Lieutenant-General Hunan Poghosyan, has announced a decision to submit the resignation, AzVision.az reports citing the Armenian media.

In a statement released on Friday, Poghosyan, who has served in the office since 2011, thanked his colleagues for long-term joint work and the Armenian citizens for ‘strengthening cooperation and mutual trust.”

“I have always served, still serve and will continue to service the Republic of Armenia wherever the country requires this service,” he said.

Hunan Poghosyan also congratulated newly appointed Police Chief Valery Osipyan.
