More than 430,000 foreigners granted visas via ASAN Visa since January 2017

More than 430,000 foreigners have been granted visas through ASAN Visa since January 2017, Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ASAN Service) Ulvi Mehdiyev told Azvision.az.

He noted that ASAN visas will be granted to citizens of 15 countries at Heydar Aliyev International Airport from today.

"In the near future, ASAN Visa will be granted at other international airports in Azerbaijan. Previously, the issuance of visas at airports was carried out. The difference in the new system is the complete elimination of the human factor. Foreigners can access the terminals by downloading their passport data and enter the country with an e-visa within a maximum of 2 minutes. The system is transparent and automatic," he said.

Citizens of 15 countries - Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Japan, Indonesia, Iran, China, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Turkey, Israel and UAE will be granted direct visas.

Currently, e-visas are provided to 95 countries through ASAN Visa. The whole system is fully automated and with the electronic visa system, e-visas are granted within 3 days (standard) or 3 hours (emergency) before coming to the country through the website www.eviza.gov.az.
