Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrives in Naftalan

Azerbaijan's Ilham Aliyev arrived in Naftalan District, AzVision.az reports.

Development of the healthcare system in Azerbaijan remains the center of attention, said Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

New medical facilities are being built in Azerbaijan, the president said at a meeting with the staff of the Naftalan City Central Hospital in Goranboy on June 5, APA reports.

“These facilities are provided with modern equipment,” said the head of state, adding that the construction of five more new hospitals will be completed this year. 

President Aliyev noted that complex measures are underway for development of Naftalan.

Naftalan is returning its former popularity. Modern sanatoriums and hotels operate here. Measures will be further continued in this regard. Azerbaijan has great opportunities for development of all areas of tourism, including medical tourism,” he said.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of the Naftalan City Central Hospital.

The head of state cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the hospital.

Health Minister Ogtay Shiraliyev informed the president of the conditions created in the hospital.

The construction of a 60-bed hospital started in 2015 and ended this May. The hospital occupies a total area of 1.2 hectares. The hospital was supplied with the state-of-the-art medical equipment and devices.

President Aliyev then met with representatives of the general public of the Naftalan city and posed for photographs together with them.

The head of state laid flowers at a statue of national leader Heydar Aliyev in the city center.

Head of Naftalan District Executive Authority Rovshan Ibrahimov informed President Ilham Aliyev about the work carried out in the city and large-scale landscaping work around the statue of the national leader.
