Turkey detains suspects in attack on Fenerbahce soccer club
Turkey detained persons suspected of carrying out an armed attack on the bus of the Fenerbahce soccer club, TRT Haber news channel reported Apr. 7.
The suspects were arrested in Turkey’s south-western province of Trabzon. Their identities are yet to be revealed.

On April 5, a bus carrying the players of the Turkish Fenerbahce was attacked by gunmen on its way to Trabzon’s airport. The bus driver was injured in the attack.

The incident took place after Fenerbahce’s away match in the national championship, Super Lig, with the Rizespor soccer club, which ended in Fenerbahce’s 5-1 victory.

All the matches of the national championship in Turkey were postponed for a week in connection with the incident.
