Minister: "Bulgaria will diversify gas sources thanks to Azerbaijan"
Bulgaria will diversify gas sources thanks to Azerbaijan, said the Energy Minister of Bulgaria Temenuzhka Petkova.
“On May 29, Bulgaria will sign investment agreement with Greece (which envisages construction of natural gas lines by 2018). The government is working on finding new gas sources. Along with Russia, we’ll import gas from other countries too. The matter is about Azerbaijan”, she said.

The minister also noted that the gas is expensive in Bulgaria because of depending on one source.

“The new gas lines to be constructed between Greece and Bulgaria will influence gas price in the country. Our relations with Greece, to where Azerbaijani gas will be exported in the future, are priority for us”, Petkova said.
