As Interfax reported, Nalbandian, during talks with Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Moscow, said Putin is to visit Armenia in the days to come to participate in the events dedicated to the centenary of the so-called Armenian genocide.
The Armenian minister also noted that Yerevan hopes that the heads of Armenia and Russia “will also meet in Moscow in May.”
Armenia and the Armenian lobby claim that Turkey`s predecessor, the Ottoman Empire allegedly carried out ”genocide” against the Armenians living in Anatolia in 1915. Turkey in turn has always denied "the genocide" took place.
While strengthening the efforts to promote the "genocide" to the world, Armenians have achieved its recognition by the parliaments of some countries.
