President Aliyev noted that Armenia must implement UN Security Council’s resolutions and put an end to the occupation of Azerbaijani territories.
“Turkey’s position on the Nagorno-Karabakh problem is fully consistent with international law,” the president said, reiterating Azerbaijan’s constant support to Turkey.
The Azerbaijani president went on to say that the Turkish army is among the world’s strongest armies.
He noted that Azerbaijan purchases new, modern weapons and military equipment from Turkey. “Part of the weapons purchased from Turkey was demonstrated at the military parade recently held in Baku,” President Aliyev added.
The head of state stressed that Azerbaijan and Turkey have already held three joint military exercises this year. “Four more joint military drills are planned to be held between Azerbaijan and Turkey this year,” he said.
