The election of the speaker of the Turkish Parliament will be held today at 14:00 (GMT + 3), the message says.
The candidacies of former Prime Minister Binali Yildirim from the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), Erdogan Toprak from the Republican People's Party (CHP), Mehmet Nuhoglu from "Iyi Parti", Meral Danis Bestas from the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) have been put forward as nominees for the post of speaker, the Parliament announced.
Earlier, Binali Yildirim said that if the President of the country Recep Tayyip Erdogan nominates him for the post of speaker of Parliament, he will be ready to preside over the Parliament.
The MPs of 28th convocation started the work on July 8 this year.
