The statement came from the Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov at the meeting on the last step of the preparation of the national team of Azerbaijan to the European Games "Baku-2015".
Minister said that the President, the First Lady and all government agencies put effort for the conduction of these games at a high level.
"Our greatest desire is to win many medals in the European Games. Their number should not be less than the conquered on the Olympics before. Fans will also have to support the athletes, inspiring them to gain victory," the Minister said.
Azad Rahimov noted that the construction of facilities for the Games is almost completed. They will be commissioned by the end of April.
The Minister also said that the opening and closing ceremonies of the European Games will be attended by 5,000 volunteers and by 12,000 volunteers in various competitions.
