Azerbaijani president approves amendments to Code of Administrative Offenses

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyevhas signed a decree approving the law on amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

According to the decree, if an electronic decision on an administrative fine and its attachment (photo or video material) is not placed in the electronic cabinet created on the internet information resource for a driver vehicle within one day from the time of committing an administrative offense, a person can not be brought to administrative responsibility, AzVision.az reports. 

According to the current Code of Administrative Offenses, if a person who committed an administrative offense evades from responsibility, the term of administrative violation is suspended. In this case, the course of the term resumes from the moment of identification of this person. A hiding person can not be brought to administrative responsibility after two years from the time of committing an administrative offense. According to the amendment, a hiding person can not be brought to administrative responsibility after a year from the time of committing an administrative offense.
