Elmira Suleymanova: Intolerance to truth reveals true face of Armenians
“Armenia has set up a puppet regime in the historical lands of Azerbaijan, and this regime has its own prosecutor and court. This puppet court has recently passed judgment on the Azerbaijanis taken hostage by the Armenians while visiting the graves of their parents in their homeland. One of them was sentenced to life imprisonment and the other to 22 years in prison. There is no such precedent in the international law. There is no crime,” said Azerbaijani Human Rights Commissioner (Ombudsperson) Elmira Suleymanova.

Ombudsperson Suleymanova said that intolerance to truth reveals the true face of Armenians.

“The most obvious example of this is the attitude toward Moldovan Ombudsperson Aurelia Grigoriu. The Moldovan Ombudsperson has visited Azerbaijan for several times and familiarized herself with the truth of Azerbaijan. Armenian prevented her speech on the truth of Azerbaijan at the event dedicated to frozen conflicts,” she added.

The Armenian government regards Azerbaijan as the biggest threat to peace in the Caucasus today, Suleymanova noted.

“It is just dishonesty. 20 percent of our lands were occupied, we have more than one million refugees and IDPs. It doesn’t exist anywhere. Armenians are even killing the Azerbaijani children. 9-year-old Fariz Badalov killed by the Armenian sniper is an example of this,” the Omdbudsperson stressed.
