US Azeris Network (USAN) launches campaign over occupation of Azerbaijan

The US Azeris Network (USAN) launched a campaign to inform the American public about the occupation of Agdam region of Azerbaijan by the Armenian Armed Forces on July 23, 1993.

Members of the Azerbaijani Diaspora send letters to legislators, US Administration officials, and the mass media.

The letter states that the occupation of the Azerbaijani territories during the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh war, the massacres committed against the peaceful Azerbaijani people in Khojaly town and statistical figures. The authors of the letter pointed out that Armenia ignores the four UN Security Council resolutions (822, 853, 874 and 884) demanding the unconditional and immediate withdrawal of the occupying forces of Armenia from the territory of Azerbaijan and A/62/L.42 resolutions of the UN General Assembly, which includes the very requirements.

Members of the Azerbaijani Diaspora urge the US government to put pressure on official Yerevan on the implementation of resolutions of international organizations on the withdrawal of Armenian occupying forces from the territories of sovereign Azerbaijan.
