The defense ministry was commenting on the statement by Levon Mnatsakanyan, head of the criminal-military regime created in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan that “they will immediately strike Azerbaijan’s Mingachevir Hydro Power Station in the event of necessity.”

“The analysis of the Armenian press in recent days shows the delusional statements by this country’s military and political leadership and representatives of the separatist regime in Nagorno-Karabakh prove that they are seriously worried, in fear and panic,” the defense ministry said.

The ministry noted that the Azerbaijani army is ready for any development of events on the front line.

The most advanced weapons that are at the Azerbaijani army’s disposal and possess destructive power are capable of destroying all important military facilities and strategic communications of the enemy in a short period of time, the defense ministry warned.

“As for this absurd statement by Mnatsakanyan, Azerbaijan’s air defense and anti-missile defense systems fully ensure the security of the country’s airspace, including the state and military facilities of special importance. Before making such irresponsible statements, the Armenian side should think that if the Azerbaijani army strikes some facilities on its territory, there will be no life for hundreds of years,” the Azerbaijani defense ministry added.
