Azerbaijani Armed Forces complete large-scale tactical exercises
The night live firing has been held as part of the large-scale tactical exercises, which began on April 5 under the order of Azerbaijani President and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev.
Defense Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov and First Deputy Defense Minister, Chief of the General Staff of Armed Forces, Colonel General Nejmeddin Sadikov head the decisions and plans of commanders of the military formations and units involved in the exercises and their reports on the operation of headquarters, the Defense Ministry said on April 10.

A briefing was held on the combat readiness of all types of troops deployed for the exercises, the efficiency level of execution of tasks, arrangement of interaction and all-inclusive provision, execution of the tasks ordered and readiness of personnel, weapons and military hardware for the nighttime.

In accordance with the scenario of the exercises, the main forces and protective units involved in the conventional combat at night successfully executed the tasks.

The infantry and tank units, missile and artillery systems, anti-aircraft missile complexes, aircrafts and helicopters carried out strikes, missile launches and bombings.

All elements of the joint exercises conducted for the first time at night and under conditions of limited vision were carried out precisely and professionally. The Defense Ministry leadership praised the combat readiness, skills and determination of the personnel involved in the exercises.

Up to 15,000 personnel, about 200 armored vehicles, more than 300 units of missile and artillery troops, 12 combat helicopter and 8 warplanes of the Air Forces, as well as air defense units equipped with modern air defense complexes and anti-aircraft missile units were involved in the exercises.
