Ministry declares wildfire in Guba extinguished

Ministry declares wildfire in Guba extinguished

The Crisis Management Center of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) has declared the wildfire which broke out in the woodlands (complex mountainous relief massif) near Guba district’s Gasimqishlag and Cayqishlag villages extinguished.

Inspection is currently underway in the burned territories and measures are being taken to extinguish any hotspots to ensure the fire is completely suppressed.

At the same time, near the Arablar village of Shabran district, sources of smoke were observed in the woodlands (complex mountainous relief massif). Fire departments of the State Fire Protection Service of the MES, personnel of the Civil Defense Troops and 2 Mi-17 helicopters of the Aviation Unit were summoned to the area. Measures are being taken to prevent the fumes.
