The ambassador responded to the allegations regarding the involvement of Turkish servicemen in the Azerbaijani Army
“Statements from Armenia on the involvement of Turkish servicemen in the Azerbaijani Army against Armenia are just allegations,” said Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Ismail Alper Coskun.
The Azerbaijani defense ministry has already issued a statement regarding this issue, and it reflects the reality, the ambassador said.
“Such statements of Armenia, which continues the occupation of Azerbaijani territories, can be regarded as tactical steps to attract attention. Let`s not forget the main issue. The Armenians would be better to focus on the main issue. Why do they still continue the occupation of the 20 percent of Azerbaijan’s territories? Let they first answer this question,” the Turkish diplomat noted.
Movses Hakobian, the defense minister of the so-called separatist regime, told Armenian media that the Turkish servicemen are fighting on the Azerbaijani side, and Azerbaijan is trying to aggravate the situation on the frontline on the eve of the “100th anniversary of the Armenian genocide" by the order of Turkey. In response, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan have been comprehensively provided from material, moral and technical points of view, noting that the Azerbaijani servicemen, having high professionalism and combat capability, as well as equipped with the most modern weapons, are taking part in combat operations against the enemy forces.
