Azeri envoy calls for development of railroad between Tehran-Baku
Ambassador of Azerbaijan Republic Javanshir Akhundov in Tehran called for development of railroad between Tehran and Baku, IRNA reported.
In a meeting with East Azerbaijan Governor General on Saturday, Akhundov said that role of East Azerbaijan province, especially Tabriz, in world trade has increased in the recent years, so development of railroad will benefit both countries.

Akhundov said that developing trade ties with Iran is important for his country.

The governor general Ahmad Alireza-beigi, for his part, said that development of railroad between Iran and Azerbaijan Republic is being considered in the joint commission.

He said that introducing investment opportunity seminar in the East Azerbaijan province is an advantage for knowing investment capacities of the province.

The governor general continued that exchanging trade information between Iran and participating countries in this seminar will develop economic ties in the future.
