Azerbaijan calls on local mobile operators to suspend cooperation with Beeline company
The mobile operator Beeline tries to offer a variety of services with affordable tariffs for its subscribers. Each subscriber has the right to choose any mobile operator freely.
The mobile operator Beeline said in response to APA’s request on Beeline-Armenia, illegally operating in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan.

The Russian company Beeline cooperates with the Armenian mobile operator ArmenTel as part of the project Beeline-Armenia. The cooperation with Artsakh Telecom is under way for ArmenTel subscribers.

In this regard, Azercell Telecom LLC told APA that though it has been cooperating with the mobile operator Beeline since 1999, it has no roaming service in Armenia and occupied territories: “Azercell is ready to take any measures in accordance with the discussions held with relevant government agencies and other mobile operators in Azerbaijan”.

The mobile operator Bakcell told APA that it will send a letter of protest to Beeline, demanding to stop illegal communication services in Nagorno-Karabakh. “Unfortunately, as a mobile operator company, Bakcell cannot affect the operation of other operators and other service providers in this regard”.

ArmenTel subscribers will be able to use discounted tariff packages in Nagorno-Karabakh thanks to the roaming service offered by the company Beeline. Some public organizations and a group of young activists in Azerbaijan called for a boycott of the mobile operator beeline, urging local mobile operators to suspend the cooperation with the company.
