Europe will feel influence of Asian market on European gas prices in nearest future

Europe will feel influence of Asian market on European gas prices in nearest future

Europe will feel the influence of the Asian market on European natural gas prices in the nearest future, head of Gazprom Alexey Miller said on Tuesday.

"Influence of the Asian market is a new factor," Miller said, adding that its role will be more and more tangible.

The influence is particularly realized through swap operations, Miller added. For example, Gazprom is supplying pipeline gas to Europe where it is swapped for LNG directed to other markets, Gazprom CEO said.

TASS reported earlier Gazprom is trading LNG through its subsidiary GM&T.
