Vice President of the European Investment Bank Vazil Hudak stressed the importance of the meetings to be held in Baku to determine the future prospects of bilateral cooperation. Later, the Vice President underlined the importance of TAP and TANAP projects implemented by Azerbaijan.
The head of state expressed his gratitude to the European Investment Bank for its financial support for the TAP and TANAP projects. President Ilham Aliyev said that the official opening ceremony of the TANAP project has been held. He added that work on the TAP project is underway and it is a good indicator of our cooperation.
The Head of State said that the current level of development of the Azerbaijani economy and the favorable business climate of our country attracted our foreign investment. Noting that Azerbaijan's economy has extensive plans to develop the non-oil sector, President Ilham Aliyev mentioned that Azerbaijan is interested in further cooperation with the European Investment Bank.
The sides exchanged views on cooperation in the fields of infrastructure, alternative energy, agriculture, ecology, private sector, industrial zones.
