He was speaking Sept. 25 at an international conference titled “Role of the Azerbaijani parliament in achieving SDGs in Azerbaijan.”
He said that the creation of such a council can become great contribution to achieving SDGs.
At the same time, the Azerbaijani parliament has to do a lot of work, he noted.
Several events have already taken place in this direction, Isaczai said. He expressed hope that they will have a long-term nature.
There are still serious problems in the world related to the SDGs, there are people who suffer from poverty and hunger, he said.
Therefore, every country should understand its responsibility to achieve the SDGs, and it is very good that great progress has been made in Azerbaijan in this direction, he added.
