Azerbaijani, Russian presidents watch mixed team competitions at Judo world championships- UPDATED, PHOTOS

The World Judo Championships is underway in Baku.

The mixed team competitions of the World Judo Championships kicked off at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku on September 27.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, first lady Mehriban Aliyeva and family members, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga and President of the International Judo Federation Marius Vizer are watching the mixed team competitions of the World Judo Championships at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku.

The members of the national judo team are 5 women and 6 neb judokas-: Sakina Zayirov, Ichinxorlu Munxtsedev (57kg), Aida Bakhishova, Gunel Hasanli (70kg), Irina Kindzerska (+70kg), Hidayet Heyderov, Rustam Orujov (-73kg), Mammadali Mehdiyev, TUral Safguliyev (-90kg), Shahin Gahremanov and Ushangi Kokauri (+90kg).

In the quarter-final, Russia defeated the German team and reached the semi-final. In this stage, Russian judokas took the third place. President Ilham Aliyev met the judokas following the end of the completion.
