`Ungrateful thank` of Armenian to Pope for `G` word
Pope Francis risked Turkish anger by using the word "genocide" to refer to the killings of Armenian rebels a century ago under the Ottoman Empire. But what Armenians did in turn? Instead of to be thankful for him for they called him an `offender`.

Pope Francis is a `figurehead of the West`. Comparing `Armenian genocide` with Stalinism is a `crime`, Armenian historian from Russia said.

"In the past century, our human family has lived through three massive and unprecedented tragedies," the Pope said at a Mass at St. Peter`s Basilica to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Armenian massacres.

"The first, which is widely considered `the first genocide of the 20th century,` struck your own Armenian people," he said, referencing a 2001 declaration by Pope John Paul II and the head of the Armenian Church.

His use of the term genocide -- even though he was quoting from the declaration -- upset Turkey, as well as Azerbaijan, the country suffered the Khojaly Genocide committed by Armenians.

Interestingly, the Russian Mass Media, commenting on Pope Francis’ speech emphasized precisely the passage in which the Pope compared the `Armenian Genocide` with Nazism and Stalinism.

In an interview with the Russian`OSTANKINO` , ex-KGB Armenian SSR, a military historian, who lives in Russia Arsen Martirosyan said that Pope’s speech is not correct from the diplomatic point of view. "This is a crime against reality and truth. Stalinism has nothing to do with the `Armenian Genocide`. As for Nazism, in this respect, we can draw some parallels, "- said Armenian historian.

Note, Pope Francis said Nazism and Stalinism were responsible for the other two "massive and unprecedented tragedies" of the past century:
“In the past century our human family had lived through three massive and unprecedented tragedies. The first, which is widely considered ‘the first genocide of the 20th century’, struck your own Armenian people.” The second two, the Pontiff said, were Nazism and Stalinism.

As for Arsen Martirosyan, the pontiff’s words is just an `unfair comparison`

On the contrary, under Stalin in the Soviet Union formed the statehood of Armenian people, it was not a genocide. On the part of the Pope, it`s just a crime against historical reality "- said Martirosyan.

Arsen Martirosyan said that making this statement, the Pope simply "fills the order of regular forces, that are waging a war against Russia. "We all know that the Pope is no longer the chief Catholic, and only a figurehead, which executes orders Russophobian forces of the West. This is no longer a secret, we all know that he is not acting alone. "

He said, the very statement of the Pope is partly a manifestation of great information war against Russia. "Mentioning Stalinism in this case, shows that the West wants to cause a fir between Armenia and Russia, and try to oust Armenia from cooperation with Russia. You know, that the West is strongly dissatisfied with Armenia`s membership in the Eurasian Economic Union, and that the Pope`s statement is simply another order, from that point of view"- Martirosyan said.

The Armenian historian thinks that, all the liturgies was organized in order to make this statement. "I believe that it is a specific platform for the war against Russia, in which the Pope was ordered to make such a statement. I think that is an insult towards the Armenian people and, in general, for all the peoples of the Soviet Union. The goal is clear, it was done on purpose to separate Armenians from Russians. I can just say that it was the order of the United States, "- Arsen Martirosyan said in conclusion.
