Azerbaijani MP Aydin Mirzezadeh commented on the Pope Francis Sunday statement on the so-called Armenian Genocide.
`By recognizing the so-called Armenian Genocide, Pope Francis support centenary “genocide” lie. Probably he have forgotten that Christianity is a peacefulreligion, Aydin Mirzezadeh said.
Armenia and the Armenian lobby claim that Turkey`s predecessor, the Ottoman Empire allegedly carried out ”genocide” against the Armenians living in Anatolia in 1915. Turkey in turn has always denied "the genocide" . While strengthening the efforts to promote the "genocide" in the world, Armenians have achieved its recognition by the parliaments of some countries.
Yesterday the European Parliament adopted a resolution on recognition of so called Armeninan Genocide. By supporting Armenian baseless claims against Turkey, EP adopted the most shameful resolution in its history. Unforunately the European Parliament couldn’t consider the political results of the decision.
