Note that, Joseph Muscat had previously visited Azerbaijan in December 2014, discussing issues of cooperation between the two countries in a variety of areas during several official meetings.
Joseph Muscat, 41, who has long worked as a radio reporter, joined politics afterwards. He was then elected deputy and became the lead of the Labor Party. In March 2013, Muscat was sworn in as Prime Minister of Malta.
