Serbian leader`s plane returns to Belgrade over engine failure

Serbian leader`s plane returns to Belgrade over engine failure

The plane en route to Vatican with Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic on board has returned to Belgrade due to an engine failure, the Tanjug news agency said on Friday.

The plane made a safe landing at the airport of Belgrade but Nikolic`s visit to Vatican was cancelled, the agency said.

Nikolic was scheduled to meet with Pope Francis in Vatican.
