Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Friday received the heads of delegations that have arrived in Armenia to participate in the meeting of the Council of the Heads of the Corrections Services of the CIS member states.

By the government’s decision, October 19 is marked as Penitentiary Servant’s Day in Armenia.

The acting PM underscored the work of corrections services, and said the deepening of respective cooperation within the CIS will contribute to the further strengthening of interstate ties.

On behalf of the participants in this meeting, Gennady Kornienko, Director of the Russian Federal Penitentiary Service, assured that the Council of the Heads of the Corrections Services of the CIS member states will continue to work actively and achieve results.

Armenia’s acting PM, in turn, wished success to the council’s meeting, which will be convened on the same day in capital city Yerevan.
