Adopting its final agenda at the opening of the 2015 Spring session, the Assembly decided to hold an urgent debate on "The human tragedy in the Mediterranean: Immediate Action Needed", on Thursday 23 April, AzVision.az reports
Following the sinking of a boat south of the Italian island of Lampedusa yesterday, the parliamentarians stood for a minute of silence in memory of the victims.

The Assembly decided also to hold, on Wednesday 22, a current affairs debate on “The political and security situation in Ukraine and its implications”, as well as a debate on “The reform of football governance”, on Thursday afternoon.

Debates on mass surveillance and the need to uphold human rights and international law in connection with the use of drones and targeted killings will be among the highlights of the Session held in Strasbourg 20-24 April.

His Majesty the King of the Belgians will address the Assembly on Tuesday 21 April.
