Finance minister announces term of electing new head of International Bank of Azerbaijan
A new chairman of board of the International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA) will be elected in July 2015 at a general meeting of shareholders, Azerbaijani Finance Minister Samir Sharifov said at the briefing April 20.
"The term of office of the bank`s board members will expire in July 2015,” he said. “A general meeting of the bank’s shareholders will be held that period. A new chairman of board will be elected there."

As for the IBA privatization, the minister said that this issue has never been removed from the agenda.

"The government must always be ready for privatization of its assets, of course, except for strategically important assets,” he said. “As for the IBA, I think the government has the same opinion."
