President Ilham Aliyev receives delegation led by Chief of Turkish General Staff- UPDATED

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Turkey, Army General Yasar Guler.

The head of state hailed the importance of the regular visits in the strengthening of friendly and brotherly relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey in various fields, as well as in military field.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev mentioned the joint parade held with the participation of Turkish and Azerbaijani servicemen on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the liberation of Baku from the Bolshevik-Dashnak occupation. Ilham Aliyev underlined the significance of the Turkish-Azerbaijani joint military trainings in the expansion of military cooperation between the two countries. Aliyev expressed his confidence that Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Turkey, Army General Yasar Guler’s visit to Azerbaijan will contribute to the further development of bilateral relations.

Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Turkey, Army General Yasar Guler expressed his satisfaction over his visit to Azerbaijan and meeting with President Ilham Aliyev. Yasar Guler hailed the progress in relations between the countries. Yasar Guler congratulated the President over the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic. He expressed his confidence that Azerbaijan will achieve more development in the future.
