President Ilham Aliyev received chairman of Russian Union of Journalists - UPDATED

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received Chairman of the Russian Union of Journalists Vladimir Solovyov, Azvision.az reports.

Speaking about the traditionally successful cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia in other spheres, the Head of State highly appreciated the cooperation between the representatives of mass media of Azerbaijan and Russia. Besides, he noted the importance of further intensification of relations in this area.

In this regard, President Ilham Aliyev stated that regular mutual visits of the mass media representatives of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation can help the public to become more aware of the processes taking place in our countries.

At the same time, the head of state noted that such visits are important for the further expansion of bilateral relations between our countries. President Ilham Aliyev said mutual visits and regular meetings of the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Russia played a special role in strengthening our relations. The Head of State expressed his confidence that the visit of Vladimir Solovyov would contribute to the strengthening of cooperation in the field of journalism.

Chairman of the Russian Union of Journalists Vladimir Solovyov expressed his satisfaction with the meeting with President Ilham Aliyev. He noted that today bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Russia are developing successfully. He said that Russian journalists are constantly seeking to maintain close contact with their Azerbaijani counterparts. In this regard, Vladimir Solovyov emphasized the importance of the Memorandum of Cooperation signed on 19 November between the Azerbaijani Press Council and the Union of Journalists of the Russian Federation.
