Photo exhibition dedicated to Canakkale battle to be held in Georgia
A photo exhibition, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Canakkale battle will be held in Tbilisi, said the message posted on the official Twitter page of Turkish embassy in Georgia.
The photo exhibition will be held on April 27-29.

Festivities will be held in Turkey on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Canakkale battle on April 24.

Over 500,000 people were killed in the Canakkale battle, which took place during the World War I. The Turks lost 57,000 people in the battle. Azerbaijani soldiers also participated in this battle.

The battle of Canakkale is dubbed as a ‘gentlemen’s war’ in Turkey. The country’s officials have repeatedly said that this battle was one of the bloody battles in Turkey’s history, however, the warring sides never forgot about humanity even under the conditions of war.
