`The so-called Armenian genocide is nothing more than Armenian fiction`
“The so-called Armenian genocide is nothing more than Armenian fiction. I haven’t offered my condolences to them in this regard”, Head of the Azerbaijani national-cultural autonomy of the Republic of Tatarstan Subhan Ahadzade said in response to the claims that he allegedly sent a letter of condolence to Head Armenian Diaspora Ara Abrahamyan in connection with the so-called genocide.

According to him, it is unreasonable that such a letter was sent on behalf of him on April 24 though he was in Azerbaijan since April 18. The Diaspora head said that the e-address, from which the mail was sent, doesn’t belong to him.

“I have had meetings at the ministries of education, and culture and tourism in Azerbaijan. We will unveil the statue of Mirza Kazim bey in the courtyard of Kazan State University. I have arrived here regarding it. I did not give my condolences to anyone. This cannot be possible. I am a historian. I know that the “Armenian genocide” is nothing but a false claim. Perhaps, it was done by those who are against me”, he noted.

Subhan Ahadzade said that funeral repasts were given at mosques on the occasion of Khojaly tragedy, films about the tragedy were demonstrated at great cinema on their initiative: “Returning to Tatarstan, I will investigate this case. I don’t know Ara Abramyan. They committed Khojaly and Karabakh tragedies against us. How can I extend condolences to them about false genocide? I was shocked hearing of it,” the Diaspora head stressed.

A letter of condolence was disseminated on the social networks that was reportedly sent to head Armenian Diaspora Ara Abrahamyan by Head of the Azerbaijani national-cultural autonomy of the Republic of Tatarstan Subhan Ahadzade on the occasion if the 100th anniversary of so-called "Armenian genocide".
