President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today attended an Iftar party on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan hosted by Head of the Caucasian Muslims` Board Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade at his residence.
The event kicked off with the recitation of verses from the Quran.
Addressing the event, Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade thanked the Head of State for accepting the invitation to attend the Iftar party.
He also thanked the religious figures for attending the event.
Other speakers including head of the Baku and Caspian Eparchy of the Russian Orthodox Church Father Alexander, chairman of the religious community of the Mountain Jews of Baku Milikh Yevdayev, head of the Baku Catholic Church Vladimir Fekete praised tolerance in Azerbaijan, and the country`s contributions to developing interreligious dialogue.
