He stressed that the status quo in the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is unacceptable.
The Bundestag member condemned Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s statement’s that ‘Nagorno-Karabakh is allegedly part of Armenia’.
“This statement is false, and the relevant UN resolutions clearly confirm it,” he added.
The German MP pledged every effort to find a peaceful solution to the conflict in accordance with international law. “Germany is also ready to contribute to the settlement process. However, one thing is clear – Nagorno-Karabakh belongs to Azerbaijan,” he concluded.
