Heydar Aliyev Center hosts concert by Strauss Festival Orchestra Vienna

The Strauss Festival Orchestra Vienna has given a concert at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku.

The concert featured outstanding pieces by Johann Strauss as well as other Viennese classical composers.

Since the year of its foundation in 1978 the Strauss Festival Orchestra Vienna, with its highly acclaimed performances in the great concert halls of the world has established itself as a top-class ensemble for the authentic interpretation of Viennese music.

A recognized conductor and virtuoso violinist Peter Gut is the Orchestra's founder and artistic director.

The Orchestra performed its first concert program in Baku in 2014.
